Vol. VI — Guides
A schematic galaxy for your bases. Load exported JSON, or open a Steam save.hg directly. Planetary bases are plotted; freighter bases are listed and left off the map. The file is read in this browser and is never uploaded.
Both open the same picker, and a drop on this box works too. A file that starts with { is JSON. A Steam save starts with the game’s LZ4 header. Nothing is uploaded.
Windows — %APPDATA%\HelloGames\NMS\st_<SteamID>\
macOS — ~/Library/Application Support/HelloGames/NMS/st_<SteamID>/
Linux — ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/275850/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/HelloGames/NMS/st_<SteamID>/
Choose save.hg, save2.hg, or another save slot in that folder. Skip accountdata.hg. The file stays in this browser.
Ready — Euclid schematic with Hub marks. Choose exported JSON or a Steam save. Nothing is uploaded.
Ellipses and dots stand in for the disk. This is not a star catalog. Pink circles are your planetary bases. Cyan diamonds are Euclid Hub references. The cross is the galactic center. Scroll or pinch to zoom toward the pointer. Zoom in and Zoom out follow the base under the pointer, or the selected base, and that base stays put as the scale changes. Bases in the same system spread apart as you zoom; a count sits on the pile until they separate, then their names show. Drag to pan. Reset view fits your bases and the Hub marks. Double-click a base, or click it in the list, to bring that base to the middle.
Each base’s packed GalacticAddress is a 48-bit portal code. Extra high bits are ignored. The bits are planet, system, and voxel Y, Z, and X — the twelve portal glyphs, P-SSS-YY-ZZZ-XXX. This map does not invent a galaxy index from that integer. When the save includes a separate RealityIndex, the galaxy menu uses that. Signal-booster coordinates add the usual offsets: X and Z +0x7FF, Y +0x7F. Distance uses 400 light-years per voxel, measured from the center. Exported JSON is read as-is. A Steam .hg save is decompressed here, so that file does not need NomNom first. Obfuscated keys are renamed with a local key map. Nothing is uploaded.
