Guitar showcase

A shelf on the Local desk for guitars, amps, and playing energy — built from the shared publicphotos / music library. These are openly licensed instrument photos with credits, not a claim about anyone’s personal collection. Real past / present / future notes can land later without inventing a biography first.

Classic Strat silhouette — three pickups, contoured body, the shape most people picture when they say “electric guitar.”

Jazzmaster headstock

Tuning machines and logo detail. Photographed in Denton, Texas — labeled here as honest generic guitar detail, not a Bay Area shop visit.

Strat-style (Stagg)

A 1990s Stagg S300TB — an honest entry-level Strat-style shape. Useful reminder that great practice guitars do not have to be museum pieces.

Light notes on playing & gear

Acoustic vs electric

Acoustics reward quiet rooms and finger detail. Electrics need an amp (or a quiet interface) and ask different questions about tone, volume, and neighbors. Both belong on this shelf; neither needs a brand loyalty oath.

Brand-neutral practice

A setup that stays in tune, frets that don’t bite, and a strap that fits matter more than logo mythology. When a photo names Fender, Vox, or Stagg, that is attribution for the pictured instrument — not an endorsement or a claim about gear in Campbell.

South Bay context

This Local page sits next to Campbell weather, Dolphin Pet Village, and the DJ hobby starter. Public music-shop listings for San Jose / Campbell can go here later if they are sourced as ordinary public info — until then, no store is billed as “Steven’s spot.”

Open lanes

Kept ready for real notes. Empty of invented history on purpose.

Past

Room for first instruments, teachers, or songs that stuck — when those details are ready to write down.

Present

What is on the stand this month, practice habits, or a photo from the music library that matches the mood.

Future

Gear curiosity, songs to learn, or South Bay public resources worth linking — no fake roadmap.
